The History of Our Courier Services Company

Our founder, Terry Knutson, has a long history in the courier business. In 1989 he co-founded Express Courier in Phoenix, Arizona. Almost a decade later, he had turned a start-up business into a successful, growing courier company. Yet, when it came time to raise his family, he chose to sell Express Courier to go back to his roots in Wisconsin.

In 1998, he started a new courier company in Osseo, Wisconsin— Corporate Courier. What started as a simple courier service delivering auto parts and performing rush deliveries is now a network of courier services with multiple distribution hubs.

A year after it's inception, Corporate Courier's headquarters relocated to Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Then in 2002, a hub in Menomonie was added to distribute supplies for food service and convenience-based businesses. Only a year later, another hub was added in Duluth, Minnesota to distribute electrical supplies which quickly expanded to include pharmaceutical supplies. In 2006, a hub in Mankato, Minnesota was added to accommodate the rapidly growing electrical and pharmaceutical industries. In 2008, the Eau Claire headquarters expanded to accommodate a larger distribution capacity. In 2011, two more distribution hubs were added in Bismark and Fargo, North Dakota.

Throughout our growth, our service area has also expanded from just central Wisconsin to cover multiple states. Although we primarily deliver to the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, we are continually expanding. With our flexible business model, we are able to accommodate a diverse array of industries. Our fleet outsourcing expertise allows us to develop custom, dedicated routes that fit a customer's specific needs. Often in this process, we will even purchase the customer's fleet or hire some of their drivers to ensure a smooth transition. This not only benefits the customer, but allows our courier business to grow as well.
